Goethe Institut - Puppets Beyond Borders

"Puppet Beyond Borders" promoted by the Goethe- Institut and the French Institutes of Cambodia and Myanmar in collaboration with Empty Space Chiangmai, the German Embassy in Yangon and the Meta House Phnom Penh, brought together puppeteers from Germany, France, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. The artists engaged in workshops in Chiangmai, Phnom Penh and Yangon, encountered each other's different stylistic, technical and contextual approaches to the art of puppetry. With the topic "Home" centered, the artists prepared performances in each city, weaving together their newly developed plays. Studio 1212 was assigned to design the poster, flyer, banner and booklet for this event.
